The Holly Hill house has been a Catalina Island landmark since the 1880's. Peter Gano, the owner and builder, used a trained horse to power a pulley system so he could move building materials up the steep hill. The house has recently been thoroughly restored (without the help of the horse!)
Our 6"x 6" tile is an original design which is hand painted, kiln fired by a California artist.
